The African Health Research, Innovation and Development Alliance (AHRIDA) is a continental advocacy platform established to amplify Africa’s collective voice in influencing investments and policies that support African-led health innovation, local manufacturing, and the equitable use of local resources for access to lifesaving medical technologies.
AHRIDA brings together leading regional advocacy coalitions hosted by Amref Health Africa in collaboration with Speak Up Africa, The Coalition for Health Research and Development (CHReaD), and Strengthening Africa’s Health Technologies Advocacy Coalition (SAHTAC) to:
– Champion African-led innovation,
– Mobilize sustainable funding for health R&D,
– Build a knowledge-based economy,
– And develop a strong regulatory ecosystem across the continent.
